Perched on the banks of Frankfurt’s Main River, Gerbermühle is more than a hotel — it’s a living archive of the city’s history. Once a meeting place for poets and visionaries, today it blends heritage with contemporary elegance.

The brand identity needed to honour this duality: the weight of tradition balanced by a modern, minimalist touch.

My Role

While at Morgen Schwarzwald Design Studio, I shaped a visual language that layered old and new. Period paintings were juxtaposed with clean typography and refined layouts, creating tension that felt both timeless and current. The result is an identity that reflects Gerbermühle’s story — rooted in history, yet alive in the present.
